This is a true incident which happened a few years ago at a local railway station Dadar in Bombay, India. During a rush hour, a married couple with an infant in the arms of mother were waiting to catch a train. A chain snatcher came from no where and snatched gold chain from the neck of lady and ran.
Responding to wife’s shout, her husband went in chase after the thief, who in order to save himself jumped on railway tracks to escape with the husband close on his heels. As the luck would have it, exactly at that moment a train came rolling in. With husband under the train there was utter chaos, wife screaming, baby howling.
The train stopped and lo and behold the husband came out safe and sound from underneath the train as he had instinctively lied down flat between the tracks, which saved his life.
See the providence now – the gold chain was found inside the blouse of lady. It so happened that as the thief tried to snatch the gold chain, the lady held on to it and the thief had to run without the booty. Rest is history.
